小和山社区位于杭州市西湖区留下街道的西部，以辖内的小和山得名，南北两面群山环绕。[1]社区面积1.5平方千米，是由原小和山村撤村建居而成的城市社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身为小和山行政村，辖6个自然村。[1]博雅地名网在历史沿革中记为2003年撤村建社区，而其基本介绍则记为2004年6月撤村建居；百度百科亦称2004年撤村建居。[1][2]本条目取2004年之说，两说并存。

社区依托小和山高教园区的建设，周边聚集了浙江工业大学、浙江科技学院等院校。[2]
