翁家山村是西湖街道下辖的行政村，位于西湖风景名胜区的核心部分，在西湖的西南侧。村子位于海拔176米的高处，据百度百科为杭州城区里海拔最高的行政村。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明末清初有翁姓人家来此定居，村落因此得名。据百度百科，明代以前此处称百梅村，明万历年间因张居正推行「一条鞭法」改为现名。[3][4]

建国初，村址一带为西湖区龙井乡；1956年成立翁家山农业社，隶属龙井乡；1958年改为西湖公社翁家山大队；1984年以后称西湖乡翁家山行政村，至今沿用。[2]

经济[edit]

据百度百科，截至2023年，村中常住人口900余人，村内有龙井茶园1040亩，村子是西湖龙井茶的主要产地之一。[4]

文化[edit]

中国现代作家郁达夫在村中创作了小说《迟桂花》，村内建有迟桂亭并保留其题字。[4]
