梅家坞村是西湖街道下辖的行政村，位于西湖风景名胜区的西部，在梅灵隧道以南，沿梅灵路两侧延伸十余里，有「十里梅坞」之称。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

相传临安天目山有姓梅的人迁来定居，聚落于是以梅姓命名为坞，村名由此而来。[4]

建国初这里属江干区云栖乡。1956年时它是西湖区龙井乡下的十月农业社，两年后改为西湖公社十月大队；1961年更名梅家坞大队，1984年又改称西湖乡梅家坞行政村。村内现有梅家坞老村、梅家坞新村和小牙坞三个居住点。[3]

经济[edit]

梅家坞是西湖龙井茶的一级保护区和主产地之一，据百度百科，村内梯田茶园有2300余亩（未注年份）。[2][5]

文化[edit]

据百度百科，梅家坞有600余年历史，是茶文化古村；村内设有周恩来总理纪念室，周恩来于1953年至1962年间五次到访考察。[5]

村内保留乾隆遗迹，村子获评浙江省爱国主义教育基地和全国农业旅游示范点。[5]
