灵隐社区是西湖街道下辖的社区，位于灵隐景区内，三面环山，东依西湖，2006年1月由原灵隐村撤村建居而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区以境内的灵隐寺得名。[3]

建国初期，它归茅家埠乡管辖。1956年时称龙井乡灵隐农业社，两年后改为西湖公社的灵隐大队。1984年又改为西湖乡灵隐行政村，其下有三天竺、上天竺、白乐桥与法云弄等自然村。[2]

2006年1月，灵隐村撤销村民委员会的建制，改为居委会，正式挂牌为灵隐社区。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2013年1月，社区被命名为「杭州市第七批绿色社区」。[1]
