西湖街道是浙江省杭州市西湖区下辖的街道，位于区境中部偏东，处在西湖风景名胜区之内。街道名称来自境内秀丽的西湖。[3]

街道的前身是西湖乡与南山街道。2002年起，街道交由西湖风景名胜区管委会托管；2014年区划调整后，辖区面积为47.09平方千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，今街道一带在1950年前后设有四个乡，分别以龙井、金沙港、三台山、茅家埠为名；1958年改为西湖公社，1984年改称西湖乡。南山街道始设于1954年8月，初名长桥街道，1981年2月复称南山街道。[4]

2002年9月，西湖街道被交由西湖风景名胜区管委会托管。据区政府的历史沿革，2006年底仍由该管委会代为管理，当时下辖9个村、6个社区。[1]

百度百科与博雅地名网均记载，2002年西湖乡撤乡后与南山街道合并，称西湖街道。[2][3]

2014年的区划调整中，西湖区取消了古荡镇、西湖乡、南山街道办事处三个建制，设立西湖街道办事处，并调整了相邻街道的部分界线。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道东面临西湖；南面以钱塘江河道中心线与滨江区分界；西面以牛芳岭至北高峰一带的群山同转塘、龙坞、留下三个镇相接；北面以茅家埠村的村界与灵隐街道分开。[1]

面积的记载并不一致：百度百科记为48.7平方千米，博雅地名网记为约48平方千米，区政府在2014年的说明中给出47.09平方千米。[1][2][3]

2011年末，街道总人口为20512人，据百度百科所载。[2]

区政府在2014年区划调整的说明中给出人口2.99万人，未注明统计口径。[1]

经济[edit]

梅家坞、翁家山、龙井、杨梅岭、双峰等村都是西湖龙井茶的主要产地，其中龙井村以茶产业为经济支柱，据称是西湖龙井茶的发源地。[10][11][12][13][7][14]

文化[edit]

2020年11月，街道入选「2020年度杭州市语言文字规范化街道（乡镇）」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

街道内的景点大多在西湖风景名胜区之内。九溪烟树是西湖十景之一，九溪村位于它的入口处。[5]

杨梅岭村是九溪十八涧中「九溪」的发源地，溪水沿途汇合了多条山坞的溪流。[7][6]

满觉陇村辖区内的满陇桂雨是西湖新十景之一，当地植桂的历史可追溯到宋代。[8]

三台山麓有明代于谦的墓，墓旁建有纪念他的祠。[9]

龙井村的胡公庙初建于北宋，庙前的十八棵茶树相传被封为「御茶」。[10][11]

梅家坞村在1953年至1962年间，周恩来总理曾五次到访，村中设有他的纪念室。[12]
