古荡北区社区是古荡街道下辖的社区，在古荡小区西区北边：北面连接文苑路，西面紧邻黄龙公寓，南面以小区花园干道为界，东面到小区南北主干道[1]。政府网站上称为古北社区[4]。以益乐路为界，古荡新村分为东西两片；西片之后又一分为南北，社区处在北片，故名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

2001年4月，古四、古五、古九、古十这几个居委会并成一个北区社区居委会，隶属古荡镇[3]。2002年，镇级建制取消，改设街道办事处，社区随之改为现名[3]。

2022年10月，社区被命名为「2022年全国示范性老年友好型社区」[1]。
