保亭社区位于浙江省杭州市西湖区翠苑街道，2001年3月由3个居民区合并成立，此前曾下辖4个自然村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初属古荡乡，称五村；1956年成为农业社，隶属古荡乡；1958年改设古荡公社的五村大队。[1]

1984年，此地行政村名改为下保亭；1987年又更名为保亭行政村，下辖4个自然村。[1]

1997年7月，此地设立3个居民区；2001年3月，这3个居民区合并，成立保亭社区。[1][3]

2013年1月，社区被命名为「杭州市第七批绿色社区」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区面积约0.38平方千米，北面临余杭塘河，南侧接文一路，东侧为教工路，西侧至学院路。[1][2]
