地理环境[edit]
社区北以余杭塘河为界，南以文一路为界，东界为莫干山路，西界为省委党校。占地0.13平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区因白荡海得名。[1]
1956年设文一路居民区，1983年设白荡海居民区，1985年设党校居民区。2001年，这三个居民区合并为白荡海社区。[1][2]
2022年1月，社区入选「浙江省2021年度省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。[1]
