历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，应家桥据传由一位应姓地主家的女儿出资建造，因她嫁在河对岸，建桥便于回娘家，也方便当地百姓；桥址在今东方豪园文豪阁与俊豪阁之间[1]。
2001年3月，幸福桥、应家桥、新市街三个居民区合并，组成应家桥社区；2005年3月，潮王社区并入，社区名称保持应家桥不变[1]。
2011年，原朝晖街道健身中心改为社区办公大楼，建有办公大厅、综合会议室、电子阅览室、书画室、居家养老服务厅等[1]。
据拱墅区政府网站2024年2月发布的街道工作回顾，街道在应家桥社区建成大运河幸福家园，集中「一老一小一残」三大服务功能区块，并同步调整社区办公楼的服务功能[3]。
