体东社区属杭州市拱墅区潮鸣街道，地处城东的中心地带。东面紧邻环城东路，西面与建国北路相接，南侧是体育场路，北侧靠莫衙营。占地约0.18平方千米，有居民3020户、9050人[1][3]。

地名由来[edit]

社区位于体育场路东段北侧，取其简称而得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

2001年3月，五个居民区（戴家弄、宝善、中江、北花园弄与体东）合并成社区[1][3]。中心成立于2008年5月，办公面积280平方米[1][2]。

社区概况[edit]

辖内住宅楼共58幢，单元176个。社区里有一条便民服务街，另有永天实验小学、育苗幼儿园与阿波罗男子医院；中江农贸市场之外还有两家中小型超市，并设「体东惠民驿站」[1]。

社区以老年文化为主题，以24小时求助门铃为载体开展为老服务，并拥有一支志愿者服务队伍[1]。

2021年6月，社区被认定为「第二批浙江省高质量就业社区（村）」[1]。
