柳营社区位于杭州市中心，东靠新华路，西邻中河，南面连着长庆街，北边到凤起路，面积约0.27平方千米。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

社区名沿用古地名柳营。据博雅地名网，此地在吴越国时驻有青字营。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2001年1月，池塘巷与柳营巷两个居民区合并成为社区；当年12月，长庆社区并入，名称未改。[1]

居民与辖区单位[edit]

社区居民有3295户，常住人口9946人。辖区里有新华实验幼儿园、新华小学，还有杭州春晖职业技术学校、长庆工商所和环北小商品市场。社区办公用房500多平方米。[1][2]
