西杨社区在康桥街道西侧，东邻蒋家浜社区，西面到京杭大运河，北面是宣杭铁路。2008年12月31日起，此地已改为社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期此地属杭县义桥乡。1955年为四维乡的西杨初级农业社，1956年改为康桥乡的西杨高级农业社，1958年成为康桥管理区的西杨生产大队。1967年先改称东风大队，1981年改回西杨大队的名称，1985年1月改为西杨村委会，2008年12月撤行政村改设社区。[1]

社区有538户，下辖8个自然村，设11个社区民小组。外来人口956人，常住人口2348人，博雅地名网未注统计年份。[2]
