吴家墩社区在康桥街道北部，占地约1平方千米，由吴家墩村改组而来，村名仍在沿用。[1]
辖区内的浙江康桥汽车工贸集团股份有限公司，博雅地名网称它是「全国民营企业500强」之一；社区的产业以汽车销售服务为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
这里在建国初期属杭县独城乡，此后先后办过初级、高级农业社，1958年成为四维公社的生产队，1961年分成3个大队，1985年1月改称吴家墩村。[1]
撤村改社区的时间，博雅地名网两处记载不一：一处为2007年2月，另一处为2007年12月31日。[1][2]
社区概况[edit]
社区设8个居民小组和4个居住小区，博雅地名网记总户数490户、人口2091人，外来流动人员超过5000人，未注统计年份。[1]
社区于2013年1月获得「杭州市第七批绿色社区」命名。[1] 博雅地名网另写社区拥有「浙江省文明单位」「浙江省和谐示范社区」等称号，未注年份。[2]
2019年，拱墅区政府的工作文章说，吴家墩是区内唯一整村保留并整治提升的社区，要把它建成具有江南风貌的现代城市村落。[3]
