总管堂社区处在祥园路和通益路的交会处，北侧挨着北部软件园。社区因其内的总管堂自然村得名，2009年12月由行政村改为社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初属杭县南肇和乡，1956年称涌进农业社，隶属祥符乡。1958年为三墩公社祥符管理区的涌进生产队，1961年改设为祥符公社的涌进大队，1981年又改称总管堂大队，1984年定为总管堂行政村。[1]

2009年12月起改为社区，名称未变。[1]

社区面积1.5平方千米，本地居民2200多人，另有外来人口20000多人，社区有10个小组。[1]

社区内有谢尚书庙等古迹。[1]
