北星社区北侧以石祥路为界，南侧以湖州街为界，东靠京杭大运河，西至通益路。社区因靠近北星桥得名，2009年7月成立。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区设立于2009年7月。此后，郭家厍社区于2017年3月被撤销，经拱墅区政府批准，一部分区域并入北星社区。[1]

社区概况[edit]

社区辖区面积0.9平方千米，辖内有五个小区，分别是臻园、南北西岸、信步闲庭、锦绣文澜阁与银树湾，共3548户，人口近万。[1]
