花园岗社区位于花园岗街南侧，名称得自社区内的花园岗。博雅地名网称，此岗旧时为南宋权臣秦桧的后花园所在，社区由此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初属杭县花园乡，名花园岗村。1956年成为祥符乡的花园岗农业社，1958年归三墩公社，为生产队。1961年归祥符公社，成为大队；1984年起称花园岗行政村。[1]
2005年，花园岗行政村改制为社区。2017年3月，莫干山路以西的区域划出，另设蓝孔雀社区。[1]
