历史沿革[edit]
建国初期这里是塘河乡的吉祥、如意、桃园三个行政村。1956年划入古荡乡，改为三个农业社；1958年归塘河公社，为三个生产队。1961年起归祥符公社，称工农大队；1981年改称吉如大队，1984年又改称吉如行政村。[1]
2002年5月，吉如行政村撤销，改设吉如社区。2017年3月，渡驾桥社区的一部分并入。[1]
社区概况[edit]
社区以安置小区吉如家园为主，约有500户常住户，共2400余人，其中1400余人为常住人口，另有外来人口1000余人。[2]
社区辖区内有恒丰皮革厂等企业，2011年建成一站式便民服务大厅，并配套建设了室外健身点、老年活动室和医务室。[2]
