蔡马社区位于沈半路以北，辖区面积1.2平方公里，名称取自境内蔡家桥与马家浜两地名的首字。[1]社区2003年9月撤村建居后设立。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期这里属皋亭乡，为蔡马行政村。[1]1956年改入瓜山乡，成为蔡马农业合作社；1958年编入浙麻公社熔炉生产队。[1]此前一段时间隶属四维公社瓜山管理区，1961年起为上塘公社熔炉大队。[1]1966年改称东方红大队，1981年10月起称蔡马大队，1985年1月设蔡马村委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区南与善贤社区相接，西距拱宸桥约1公里，东与皋亭坝相邻，北隔隽家浜河。[1]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区常住居民为353户，1152人，外来暂住人口接近5000人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年1月，社区列入浙江省2018年度「省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。[1]2021年6月，社区被认定为第二批「浙江省高质量就业社区（村）」。[1]2023年1月，社区被司法部、民政部命名为第九批「全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]2023年6月，社区入选首批「浙江省现代社区」名单。[1]2023年7月，社区被命名为「浙江省“红色根脉”强基（基层党建）示范村（社区）」。[1]
