假山路社区位于上塘路以西，辖区面积0.9平方公里。[1]社区名来自境内的假山村：南宋时韩蕲王在此建花园，园中多置假山与盆景，此地遂称假山石村，俗称假山村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区早先称东新行政村，建国初期归拱墅区。[1]1952年时属上塘区潮王乡，称假山行政村；1956年改属东新乡，为胜利第二农业社。[1]1958年划入笕桥公社，1985年改设东新村委会。[1]1996年建假山路居民区，2002年4月该居民区撤销，成立社区居委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区东以上塘路为界，西以德胜巷为界，北止胜利河，南至长板巷石灰坝。[1]居委会名称取自村北的一条假山路。[1]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区内63幢住房，住着3732户、11160余人。[1]

经济[edit]

省考古研究所、省报刊发行局、浙江海外海宾馆等机构设在社区内，另有杭州化工研究所与市国家安全局。[2]

荣誉[edit]
