红建河社区位于上塘街道，因西面沿红建河而得名。[1]社区由原上塘镇的沈塘湾村于2000年10月撤村而设，辖区面积约1.3平方公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期此地属潮王乡；1958年划入笕桥公社潮王管理区，称建华生产队，1961年又为上塘公社的建华大队。[1]1981年起称沈塘湾大队，1985年改设沈塘湾村委会。[1]1999年11月村委会撤销，改设红建河居民区；2002年4月再撤居民区，设社区居委会。[1]

社区由砖桥头、沈塘湾两片和大浒东苑1至12幢组成。[1]
