拱宸社区位于上塘街道中部，名称因邻近拱宸桥而来。[1]辖区呈长方形，东面和南面与姚家坝河相连，面积0.45平方公里。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身是「跃进居民区」，始建于1961年，属上塘人民公社。[1]1986年划归拱宸桥街道，改称「临海路居民区」，1998年重回上塘镇辖区。[1]2000年10月，拱宸村撤村建居，与临海路居民区一并由筹备小组管理。[1]2002年4月撤销拱宸居民区，设社区居委会。[1]

人口[edit]

经济[edit]

浙江省电力职工大学及拱墅区高级职业中学、浙江建工集团的劳务与机械化施工分公司都设在辖区内。[2]
