七古登社区位于上塘街道，处在拱宸社区与善贤社区之间，辖区面积0.53平方公里。[1]社区名由「七姑墩」演变而来：此地原是四面环水的土墩，墩上土地庙被火烧毁后，村中七位姑娘集资重建，墩由此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期这里属皋亭乡七古登行政村；1956年归瓜山乡，称光明四社；1961年并入上塘公社，成为光明大队。[1]1981年10月改称七古登大队，1985年1月才设村委会。[1]2000年1月撤销行政村，设七古登居民区，2002年4月居民区撤销，改设社区居委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区地处第二文教区，南侧与红建河社区毗连，北侧与蔡马社区相接。[2]境内的高校和学校有树人大学、城市学院，还有警校与艺术学校。[2]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区常住483户、常住人口1352人，暂住3181户，连同暂住在内总人口约8000人。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2013年1月，社区被命名为杭州市第七批绿色社区。[1]
