历史沿革[edit]
社区的前身是1986年建立的瓜山居民区，2002年4月撤销该居民区，改设社区居委会。[1]博雅地名网概况则称社区成立于2004年12月，两种说法并存。[2]
地理环境[edit]
社区东面与皋亭社区接壤，辖区内有南苑、北苑、新苑、东苑、西苑、佳苑六个居民小区。[2]
人口[edit]
博雅地名网记社区有1248户居民，常住4300余人，外来暂住近2万人。[2]
经济[edit]
杭州粮油市场、运河钢材市场与城北钢材市场都在社区内，入驻的企事业单位约三百家。[2]
