化纤社区是杭州市拱墅区和睦街道下辖的社区，由原花园居委会和化纤居委会合并组建，据博雅地名网，成立于2000年。社区由三个相对独立的小区组成，东邻何家村，西接莫干山路。据博雅地名网，社区现有住户1114户，居民3256人。[1][2]
地名由来[edit]
社区名称得自辖区住宅小区化纤新村。住在这里的人大多在杭州蓝孔雀化纤股份有限公司上班，原叫化纤宿舍，1981年才改称化纤新村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
沿革栏记为2000年10月，由原花园居委会与化纤居委会组成。概况栏则记为2000年12月15日成立，两说并存。[1][2]
人口[edit]
据博雅地名网，社区占地约3万平方米，有住宅楼26幢、86个楼道。60岁以上老人632人，占总人口的19.4%。社区党员220人，社区工作者10名，注册志愿者375人。[2]
