余杭塘路社区位于小河街道，社区名取自境内的余杭塘路。[1]

社区北靠塘河路，南依余杭塘河，东与莫干山路相邻，西面贴着余杭河（庆隆桥），面积约0.46平方千米。[2]

社区2001年组建，由南塘、南村两个居民区合建而成，地名沿用至今。[1][2]

社区设有便民服务中心、电子阅览室、图书馆和拱墅区首条健康路径，并创办了市民学校和民生21健康俱乐部。[2]
