历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立之初，这块地方由桑桥、金家两村与北九堡的一部分拼成，被划为家乡的一部分。1957年下半年，本地农户组建了幸福高级农业社。[2]
1958年，幸福农业社分出第一至第五组，另设蚕桑示范场，隶属九堡乡。1964年1月20日，中央副委员长朱德到示范场察看并指导工作。[2]
1968年，幸福、牛田、蚕桑三个组并为向阳大队；1970年示范场改为蚕桑大队；1984年9月改称蚕桑村，辖7个生产小组。2001年12月，村的建制被取消，地方改设为社区。[2]
地理与人口[edit]
社区东面以老杭海路与九堡村为邻，西面靠江干科技园区，南面与牛田社区接壤，北面与格畈社区相连。杭海路与德胜路在社区内呈十字相交。[1]
社区面积约1.1平方千米，居民小组为7个。住户合计418户，其中常住人口1800人，另有流动人口6000余人。以上数字，博雅地名网未注统计年份。[1]
