杨公社区是九堡街道东部的一个撤村建居社区，位于杭城东部，南面临钱塘江。社区名称来自旧时村中的杨公庙。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立之初，这里归和丰乡管辖，原为杨公、金家两个自然村。其中杨公村有一座俗称杨公庙的庙宇，村名因此而定。[3]
1958年10月，九堡人民公社设立，此地的生产大队被命名为上游，表达争先的意愿。此后大队几经合并与分设，1971年重新成为上游大队。[3]
1983年公社撤销后，乡建制恢复，此地重新设为行政村，1984年改称杨公村。1996年划归江干区，此前由余杭市管辖；2002年行政村改为社区。[3]
地理与人口[edit]
社区坐落在杭州东部，其南侧临江，沿江筑有长达2.7公里的大堤。东侧与下沙经济开发区毗连，北侧是八堡区块，西侧为钱江新城二期的建设范围，长途客运中心就在近旁。[2]
社区面积为2.7平方千米，划分19个居民小组，登记在册的户口有941户、4461人，另有流动人员1131名。这些数字未标注统计年份。[2]
