兴隆社区位于彭埠街道，辖区内有11个居民小区，户籍人数3430人。[1]社区于2007年7月撤村建居，改为现名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初，此地隶属七堡乡。1958年，兴隆为生产队，归九堡人民公社兴隆管理区，次年划入笕桥人民公社；1961年改隶彭埠人民公社，称兴隆大队。[1]

1966年改名为国庆大队，1984年10月改为兴隆行政村。2007年7月撤村建居，改称兴隆社区。[1]
