闸弄口社区在街道南侧，运河南岸与艮山西路之间，因地处此地而取名。2001年3月3日设立社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里早先是菜地，70年代以后陆续盖起住宅群，起初叫大寨新村，之后更名为闸弄口新村。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

四至：东侧为天台山路，南侧为艮山西路，西侧通向艮山支路支二路，北侧为京杭运河。辖区有住宅楼59幢，157个单元，另有永济桥和艮山西路一弄两处散居，住户合计3070户，近8千余名常住居民。[1]

辖内设有聚落五号创业园，另有艮山路小学等单位。[1]
