闸弄口街道是浙江省杭州市上城区下辖的街道，1985年设立，2021年随杭州市行政区划调整划入上城区。百度百科记截至2020年6月辖15个社区，维基百科列出17个社区。[1][3][4]
街道东接笕桥街道、彭埠街道，南邻凯旋街道，西与拱墅区的潮鸣街道、文晖街道相接。京杭大运河贯穿辖区，秋涛北路、艮山西路、机场路和天城路等城市主干道经过其间。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
街道名称来自明代的一处水利设施：明洪武五年（1372年）在辖区西北修建会安坝蓄积上游来水，附近设有柳林闸、清凉闸各一座用以排水，因地处清凉闸口，此地被称为闸弄口。[1]
1985年1月，从闸弄口、濮家、机神、三里亭四村各取一部分地块，组成闸弄口街道。[1][3]
20世纪70年代，政府在此建成住宅区，名字经历两次改动：先叫大寨新村，再叫闸弄口新村，楼房有一百多幢。[1]
2021年3月，撤销原上城区与江干区后设立新的上城区，闸弄口街道随之隶属上城区。[3]

2011年末，街道总人口为91749人。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
清雍正年间，杭州城内建有机神庙，供奉丝绸行业的祖师。清末民初全城存有三座，其中一座位于闸弄口。随着旧城改造，闸弄口的这座机神庙已经消失。[5]
清乾隆二年（1737年）此地建有三里亭。亭子西北有郑家花园，相传是宋徽宗外家三世郑兴裔的旧居，今已不存。[2]
经济与文化[edit]
旧时此地丝织手工业较为发达，民间流传「艮山门外丝蓝儿」的说法。[2]

街道先后获得「浙江省民政工作全优街道」「浙江省体育先进街道」「杭州市绿色街道」「杭州市文明单位」等称号。[2]
