双菱社区位于杭州市上城区采荷街道东北部。社区的范围大致是东至双菱路、西至庆菱路、南至采菱路、北至庆春东路。[1][2]

名称与历史[edit]

社区由双菱新村第一、第二居民区和红星一、二居民区合并组建，时间为2001年3月。社区内有一座池塘名叫「双莲塘」。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

博雅地名网载社区占地约0.83平方千米，全社区住宅楼36幢，楼道123个，老龄人口1617人，家庭2003户，居民约6000人。百度百科则载辖区面积6万平方米，住户2050户，户籍人口5495人。两处面积数字不同，二者并录于此。[1][2]

在册党员324名，社区党委辖十个党支部。辖区内的共建单位包括采荷第一小学、浙江省送变电公司与浙江省火电建设公司。[1]

社区设有示范型老年活动中心，成立了双菱业余艺术团（含舞龙队等11支队伍）。社区另获全国青年文明社区及浙江省文明社区的称誉。[2]
