望江街道是浙江省杭州市上城区下辖的街道，位于区境东南部，隔江与滨江区遥对，处于钱江新城的中心区域。[2][3] 其东侧濒临钱塘江，南侧以望江路为界，北边是清江路，西边靠着贴沙河。[2][5] 截至2021年10月，街道辖11个社区。[1]

街道名称源于旧时的望江门：此地在城外临江，古人曾在此观潮，唐代有江楼，元代建瞰江亭。[3] 2003年5月，杭州市政府批复撤销望江、近江两个街道办事处，设立望江街道办事处。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

街道最初建于1954年，归江干区管辖。此后它经过几次更名、撤并与恢复；1980年望江街道得以恢复，同时与凯旋街道分设。[1][4]

1997年起归入上城区，同年在秋涛路以东新设近江街道。[1][4] 2003年的批复调整后，此街道占地4平方千米，居住人口4.86万，下辖12个社区。[2]

望江地区的征迁建设始于2015年，2021年街道实现全域征迁清零。[6]

地理环境[edit]

北面以钱江三桥与清江路一线同江干区相接，东南一侧以江心为线与滨江区分隔，西南方向隔望江路、望江东路与紫阳街道对望，西北方向则以贴沙河与小营街道为邻。[2]

人口民族[edit]

除2003年批复记下的4.86万居住人口外，街道还有流动人口4.27万人，此数为2011年末的统计。2011年末的总人口则为64881人。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

杭州肉联厂的主厂区与配套宿舍群建于建国初期，依照前苏联的工厂图纸建造，其中6幢建筑列入「杭州市第五批历史建筑」名录。[6]

2016年6月，街道对宿舍住户作民意调查，90%以上的住户支持搬迁。[6]
