新工社区是杭州市上城区紫阳街道下辖的社区，位于街道东南部，东沿秋涛路，西靠浙赣铁路。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，此地设剪刀巷、太平两个居民区，1951年此处又设立新工新村居民区。2000年11月，剪刀巷的一部分与太平居民区、新工新村居民区合并，组成社区。[2]

2003年5月，社区由南星街道划归紫阳街道。[1][3]

社区概况[edit]

社区户数3015户，总人口7959人，以创文化为特色。[2]

2022年，社区获评杭州市老年友好型社区。[1]
