明代此巷称保安巷，因地近江河、多堆放木材，清代改名木场巷。[2]

地理与历史[edit]

贴沙河流经社区，是当地的饮用水源。社区拥有草桥门（今望江门），即爱情传说「十八相送」中的所在。[1][2]
