复兴街社区位于杭州市上城区南星街道南部，东侧到美政路，西侧到洋洋路，南面是钱塘江，北面是复兴路。社区名称取自复兴街，据博雅地名网，街名含有抗战胜利后中华复兴的寓意。[1]

社区面积0.24平方公里，楼宇61幢，共有3890户住户，总人口8400多人，回迁户在住户中占95%以上。[1]

社区设有11个党支部，党员320人。社区中也有由党员组成的读报、喊潮、义务巡逻等志愿服务队伍。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1954年，此地建有洋泮桥与柴万两个居民区。1997年，居委会撤销，改组为闸口街道的南片管委会；1999年，管委会也撤销，随后设立复兴北苑与复兴南苑两个居民区。2000年，两者各自改称社区；2003年，两社区合二为一，即复兴街社区。[1]
