馒头山社区位于杭州市上城区南星街道，地处南宋皇城遗址所在的凤凰山脚路一带，南靠浙赣铁路线，西至凤凰山，北侧靠近万松岭。社区名称取自凤山门外的一座小山。据博雅地名网，太平军曾在这座小山上蒸过许多馒头，人们因此一直称其为馒头山。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1985年，这里曾分为梵天寺、万松岭、宋城等多个居民区，此外还有凤山、南凤段和馒头山，1998年撤并。2000年，设立馒头山与宋城两个社区；2003年，二者合并，组成现在的馒头山社区。[1] 快懂百科则称2003年为重新设置馒头山社区。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
梵天寺经幢位于社区内，是全国重点文物保护单位。[3]
梵天寺经幢共两座，幢高15.76米。[4]
此外，月岩、圣果寺、老虎洞、官窑遗址与万松书院也位于社区内。[1]
古井名录所列在本社区的古井有7口，多位于凤凰山脚路、笤帚湾和万松岭路一带。[5]
荣誉[edit]
2019年1月，馒头山社区列入2018年度「省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。2021年2月，社区经司法部、民政部公布，入选第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
