西牌楼社区是小营街道最南面的一个社区：东侧为江城路，西侧到中河路，南侧临望江路，北侧与河坊街相接，总面积0.15平方千米。[1][2]

社区因西牌楼得名。这里过去立有牌楼，人称东、西牌楼，民国时期已不存。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，此地设西牌楼居民区；2000年改置为西牌楼社区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区曾获国家级「青少年违法犯罪社区预防计划实施试点单位」称号，以及省级示范社区等荣誉。[2]
