梅花碑社区处在杭州市中心：东侧挨东河，西侧沿中河路，南侧与河坊街相依，北侧临西湖大道；面积0.22平方千米。[1]

地名源于一块碑。此地南宋时为德寿宫的一部分，明代设过南关工部分司等官署。[1]

地名由来[edit]

清乾隆时，一块刻有画梅、画石的碑被移去北京圆明园，杭州另摹一块留存，地名因此得来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1995年，此地有信余里、吉祥巷、凝海巷、城头巷等居民区。组建梅花碑社区的，是信余里、吉祥巷与凝海巷居民区，以及城头巷的一部分，时间为2000年12月。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2013年1月，社区被命名为「杭州市第七批绿色社区」；2023年1月，被命名为「浙江省2022年度省级“民主法治村（社区）”」。[1]
