金钱巷社区位于小营街道的闹市中心，东侧是东河，西侧至佑圣观路，南侧依西湖大道，北侧到解放路，辖区面积0.195平方千米。[1]

社区因金钱巷得名。清代称金钱巷，又叫金泉巷，早先名为安福巷。社区曾是南宋宗室子弟的居所。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年时，这里的居民区有金鸡岭、丰禾巷和金钱巷三处；1998年9月，它们合成金钱巷居民区，2001年改称金钱巷社区。2003年7月，义井巷社区的一部分并入此社区。[1]

20世纪90年代旧城改造时，金钱巷已经不存，地段成了佑圣观路的延伸段，但地名保留了下来。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年1月，社区入选浙江省2019年度「省级民主法治村（社区）」名单。[1] 2023年，社区获评「杭州市第三批市级高质量就业社区」，并为「浙江省省级民主法治社区」。[2]
