茅廊巷社区位于小营街道中西部，东侧挨着佑圣观路，西侧到中河，南侧傍西湖大道，北侧接解放路，面积0.17平方千米。[1][2]
社区因茅廊巷得名。旧时这里是宋代的柴场，故称茅廊巷，清代也写作毛郎巷。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
2001年，茅廊巷、忠孝巷、义井巷3个居民区合并，形成茅廊巷社区。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
巷内过去有隆恩道院。巷子东端的茅廊巷菜场落成于1927年（民国十六年），当年与龙翔桥、凤山门两处菜场同为杭州规模最大的菜场。[2]
