葵巷社区位于杭州市中心，东侧为大学路，南侧为解放路，西侧临东河，北侧为庆春路，辖区面积0.25平方千米。[1]

社区因葵巷得名。南宋时这里还在城外，只有一条小巷；清乾隆年间，工部郎中汪启淑在巷中造葵园，巷名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2001年1月，此地设葵巷、菜市桥两个居民区；2003年，两个居民区合并，成立葵巷社区。[1]

人物[edit]

汪启淑生于1728年，卒于1798年，是徽州歙县人，清代藏书家与金石学家。[1]
