老浙大社区位于杭州市中心，社区东边是贴沙河，西边挨着大学路，南侧为解放路，北侧直抵庆春路，是原浙江大学旧址所在的社区。[1][3]

社区因所在地原为浙江大学而得名。该处在清光绪年间曾创办求是书院，后改为浙江大学。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新开河居民区设于1965年11月。1969年，它被分成老浙大居民区与环东居民区；1994年又合为老浙大居民区，2001年成为老浙大社区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区先后获得「浙江省爱国卫生先进单位」「浙江省老龄工作规范化社区」等省市区级荣誉50余项。[2]
