东平巷社区是浙江省杭州市上城区湖滨街道下辖的社区，位于街道东部，紧邻西湖。社区北面是解放路，南面连着开元路，东侧以中河中路为界，西侧到青年路。社区以东平巷为名，此巷的得名与巷内旧有的东平王庙有关。[1]
社区面积0.18平方千米，总户数2004户，博雅地名网所载的社区概况称总人口5865人。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
巷名的来历见于《西湖游览志余》的记载：此地原称下百戏巷，巷内建有东平王庙，供奉雷万春、姚訚、南霁云、许远、张巡等唐代人物。庙建于南宋建炎二年（1128年），元末被毁；明洪武三十年（1397年）重建，此后便以庙名为巷名。[1]
1950年，此处有东平巷、羊血弄、日新桥弄、盔头巷等居民区。1957年，日新桥弄居民区改为缸儿巷居民区，盔头巷则改为上缸儿巷居民区。2000年10月，东平巷、羊血弄、缸儿巷、盔头巷四个居民区组建为东平巷社区。[1]
