清波街道位于杭州市上城区西南部。辖区东边以中河高架为界，西侧濒临西湖，北面经西湖大道与湖滨街道相连，南部与吴山风景区相邻。街道办事处设在清波街28号。[1][2]

以2020年11月1日零时统计，街道常住人口为26950人，数字取自第七次全国人口普查。辖区处在杭州老城的中心地段，吴山、清河坊等旅游胜地在其中。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1954年8月，地区先设花牌楼街道办事处。1957年，城隍山街道并入；因辖区西侧有古清波门，地名改为清波街道。[1]

1960年4月设上城人民公社清波分社。1961年6月办事处得以恢复，1968年9月成立革命委员会；1979年11月革委会撤销，办事处复设。[2]

1963年，地名恢复为清波街道。[1] 1999年，西湖大道以南一片原属湖滨街道的地块改归本街道。[1][4]

辖区面积的数字并不统一：博雅地名网与快懂百科记为2.2平方千米，百度百科记为2.27平方千米，三者均未注明统计年份。[1][3][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

浙江实业银行旧址在中山中路193号之3，民国十四年（1925年）建成。建筑仿照西洋文艺复兴风格，楼高三层，设地下室。2017年1月，浙江省人民政府公布的第七批省级文保名单中包括此旧址。[5][3]
